Thank God for Jimmy Butler.
In his fourth year out of Marquette, Jimmy Butler (a/k/a “Jimmy Buckets”) has blossomed from a role-player off-the-bench to all-around go-to player, able to steal, score or stop the opposition. Under Coach Thibs’ tutelage, The Butler stepped up to fill the Chicago Bulls' MVP shoes and made his first All Star game.
As D Rose struggles with his knees (and psyche), Joakim battles knee/back/shoulder problems, Pau Gausol fights Father Time, Mirotić adjusts to American ball and Dougie's struggling to find his role, Taj and Jimmy has shouldered the burden, put on some displays, logged ungodly minutes and shown unbelievable grit.
On one night last year when JB had bailed out the squad, Coach Thibodeau summed up his value: “Thank God for Jimmy Butler,” he said. "Big shots, plays defense, gets to line, makes plays, plays unselfishly and hard. Doesn’t take plays off."
Thank God For Jimmy Butler, indeed. TGFJB! Show your thanks with this fun new shirt that features Thibs’ stark prayer and a fun cartoon of the savior himself.
